[COVID-19 UPDATE]

You may be aware that at this time, all Dentists in Australia have restrictions placed upon us so that we are limited to only doing emergency treatment. We have been directed to cease all routine Dentistry including check-ups, cleaning, restorations and those procedures that usually make up our working days. However, you don’t have to live with the pain of a toothache during this difficult time. At present, the team at Frenchville Dentists is available to treat those patients who are suffering from acute dental pain or facial swelling. We will provide these services in a safe environment within the limits of the restrictions that are imposed upon us. Primarily, we must avoid performing dental treatment that generates a contaminated spray. This means that we are not able to provide anything more than the removal of teeth or temporary fillings or perhaps medications, and then explain to you what you will require in the future to finalise your treatment. We trust that you will understand that we cannot say when these restrictions will be lifted. As you would expect, if you have a fever, any flu-like symptoms or are in home-isolation, please call us here Frenchville Dentists on 4926 1887 before you attend to your appointment to discuss how we may be able help you.

Dr Gregory F Moore BDsc (Hons) (UQ)

31 March 2016

Doctor Gregory Moore is a second-generation dentist with more than 4 decades of experience. He believes dentistry is a too-often overlooked but vital building block for overall health and welfare.

A Rockhampton local through and through, Greg attended St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School and St Stanislaus College, which has since been renamed as Emmaus, before moving to study dentistry at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. After graduating with honours, Dr Moore spent 3 years practicing for Queensland Health in Mackay, but soon returned to his hometown to join his father’s Dental Practice which had a history going back to 1962.

He joined Dr Terry Moore’s Dental Practice in William Street at the end of 1983, and in 1989 they established a branch practice in Mt Archer Medical Centre. Dr Terry Moore retired in 1995, after an impressive career.

Greg’s practice has moved since then, and now resides on Dean Street in Frenchville, in state-of-the-art facilities. The precinct is a hub of health care services, ideal for local residents.

Dr Moore has also devoted his time in leadership roles for the dental industry, including being appointed Queensland President of the Australian Dental Association in 2009. His continuing dedication to all things dental was recognised, with him being invited to join various honour organisations of the profession. He’s a member of the following eminent groups – the International College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentists International, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Locally, Dr Moore’s reputation as a well-loved family dentist is only heightened by his talent for making balloon animals for shy children.
